Where to buy silver?
Found a guy on ebay that has rolls of 20 Silver 1oz eagles for 400$ OUCH! That is a hefty price compared to spot.
I need guidance. Mentor me. :10_1_19: |
Re: Where to buy silver?
Have you tried Bulliondirect.com? Plenty of ASE's on there but still looking at $16.45 each or more.
By the way, spot is a joke and is the paper price. |
Re: Where to buy silver?
APMEX
CNI do google search:yes: |
Re: Where to buy silver?
Sun City Coin in Sun City CA... has boatloads of SAEs, call for price...
(You asked!) |
Re: Where to buy silver?
Ignore eBay unless you get lucky with a fantastic deals or have one of those 20-30% off coupons I hear about.
And paying $6+ over spot (let alone more than DOUBLE spot) for silver is just silly to me (lunars and Britannias notwithstanding if that's your thing). Before you say "BUY AT ANY PRICE," there are 1,000 oz bars for 60 cents to $1 over and rounds for about $2 over if you look around. |
Re: Where to buy silver?
How about a hint re where to look? Nobody else seems to know about such a deal.

Re: Where to buy silver?
How about this idea. If you don't have 10K get a few friends and split a mini contract on the Chicago Board Of Trade. 1000 ounce contract take delivery. Very little premium.

Re: Where to buy silver?
1000 oz. bar on apmex, penole hallmark. another choice in case the cbot or nymex are a tad too slow for you.

Re: Where to buy silver?
The coins are nice and some of the bars are too but it is never a good idea to pay premium for bullion.

EDIT: although $3.00 over for 10 ozers doesn't sound too bad. Hmmm... |
Re: Where to buy silver?
I'd say in these current times $3 over spot for generic 10 Oz bars isn't bad at all, be much better if they were JM or Engelhards though....LOL

AJPM has rounds for $2 over. APMEX has the GIM rounds at $2 over (they seem to make a batch, then they sell out fairly quickly, though). Let alone if you visit local coin shops and shows. It is out there. Paying $6-$10 over spot is just lazy IMHO. |

You know Bud, I didn't ask him...maybe just speculation on his part
I still don't understand why 2008 SAE's seem to command such a premium...the mint lists sales of the '08's so far this year at: 14,702,500, according to their statistics, that's more than ANY other year since the program began |

And there is some premature buzzing that this could possibly be the last year (highly unlikely) But the fact that nobody can keep them in stock is more then enough reason why the spread is so high on them. T |
